This week we learned about the letter O and otters, Olives, Ostrich, and Opposites. We also practiced the number 11. We also talked about Palm Sunday.
Oscar Otter
We started the week by singing out Animal Alphabet song that can be found at Abeka. We traced O’s which are really easy for C. She ended up writing her own. We also also made our own O is for Otter Craft (Template Here).
Olives
We talked about Olives as well. There was not a card for this subject so we just talked about different types of olives. We made a fingering hand print olive tree. After the hand print tree dried, C added purple olives to the tree. After that we added finger-painted green leaves. We also practiced our numbers by coloring 11 olives on our worksheet.
Ostrich
We learned about ostriches and played a game where I put pictures of items into eggs. We built a nest for the eggs with popsicle sticks. C then matched the pictures to the letter with the same beginning sound. She had a blast with this!
Opposites
Today we learned about opposites. We made this a physical lesson by having C do different things that were opposite of each other. Here are a few of C’s favorite opposites.

Bible Story
This week we read our Palm Sunday Bible Story from The Easter Storybook (read the review here).
