This week we learned about the letter Y (one more letter!!!). We focused on Yackety Yak and yarn. We also reviewed numbers 0-15. We also reviewed our favorite New Testament Bible stories.

Y is for Yak

We started by learning about yaks. We learned that God gave yaks long fur so they can live in a colder climates. We learned that yaks live in mountains and have special hooves to help with walking on the mountains.

C also made her Y is for Yak craft. C loves these crafts, especially the ones were she can draw on faces. Check out the ways to get your own Y is for Yak craft.

Yarn

Today we learned about yarn. We learned that yarn came from sheep and that we can make lots of things from yarn. C did a process art project where she painted with yarn. This didn’t hold her interest for too long, but the few minutes were fun!

Math

We have been reviewing our numbers 0-15 for the last few weeks. C has also been working on her Page a Day Math books. She likes the books, but they are long pages for a 3 year old so sometimes we have to break them up more than a page a day. Check out my review of Page a Day Math here.

Bible

This week we reviewed the Bible story about Feeding the Five Thousand. This is one of my favorite Bible stories so I had fun watching it with her. We did a craft from our Abeka books where C cut out the bread and the fish to put in the basket. She did a great job cutting all the little pieces.
