Monday

Today we got back to schooling!!! D started learning about the color purple. He colored a picture of a purple crayon. He also worked on fine motor skills by placing gems on a snowflake. I got this really cool TotSchool in a box from MyFullHeart Etsy shop. I would love for y’all to check her out! He worked with his gems for a while. C did a little bit of school today. We are finishing up school from around the holidays.

Tuesday

A girl is playing with pattern blocks on a Santa placemat. The girl has placed a trapezoid on top of a hexagon. She is placing another trapezoid on top of the hexagon.

Today, C picked some math to work on. She worked on equal parts. This was difficult to explain but we did a lot of hands on with play dough to help her understand the difference. She also worked with pattern blocks figuring out which ones would fit into other ones. D worked on matching colors with his pompoms and mittens. I got this in my Winter TotSchool box from MyFullHeart. Check out the blog where I get a lot of different ideas for D.

Wednesday

Today we didn’t do a lot of school today because C took an Outschool class this morning. She is really into baking lately and I found a three week course where she learned to bake different food. She loved it! This week she made chocolate banana muffins. They were super delicious. After her class, we did our reading book. C is starting to read words and sentences. I am super excited for her.

A little girl is scoping chocolate dough into a cupcake pan. She is using two spoons to scoop the dough into the pan. The pan is lined with paper liners. There are four cupcakes already filled with dough. The girl is watching a teacher on a tablet as a guide.

Thursday

We had a low key day today. D did some coloring with his purple color sheets. Check out the Toddler Activities series to find some cool ideas to teach colors to your toddler. C did her handwriting. They both worked with pompoms. I tried to give D some kid tweezers to put the pompoms into an ice cube tray, but he couldn’t get his hand around it. C did a great job with it though. She loved it! She even sorted the pompoms by color!

We didn’t do school today. We ran errands around town and did a ton of free play. It is always good to take a day off here and there to rest!
