In our preschool weekly review this week, we are trucking along with our curriculum. I did notice something this week that we haven’t had any language development and it isn’t in my lesson plans, so next week when we start consonants, I will be adding in more language development. This is a great way to add in science and social studies. So stayed tuned for next week’s post about how we add that into our day.

Sunday

Today we stayed home from church. C wasn’t feeling too well on Saturday evening so just to be safe we stayed home (all was well on Sunday morning)! We watched our church from Maryland and then ordered in lunch. It was nice to not rush, but man did I miss church. We cleaned our house up a bit and Daddy worked outside on our yard.

Monday

Today we had a busy day at home. We started our day with going to pick up an order of groceries. I hate when you order groceries and then realize you left off a few things. It wasn’t too bad except that D was mad that we got shoes on and didn’t go play outside. As soon as we got back, we played outside for awhile. C rode her bike and D pushed his baby stroller. After rest time, C did her school work. We built block ramps, did our worksheets, played with our map we made last week, and painted all within like 2 hours. She had a blast and we finished everything we needed to.

In the afternoon, we got the pool out and played outside until Daddy got home. I had precooked dinner, Homemade Hamburger Helper, so we just had to dish it up when Daddy got home. The kids loved it! I was so happy because they are not the easiest to please (C had 3 bowls).

Tuesday

Today we started our day with some Musik at Home (I will have a review in October). After that we went for a walk and C rode her bike for almost a whole mile! She is doing great on her balance bike. We came back in and did our school work. We first collected red toys for C’s sensory bin. He is on his last week of Red.

After rest time, C worked on painting a cherry blossom branch. We discovered this would be a two day project because we needed the paint to dry. We played out back in the afternoon for a bit. These kids would stay out all day if I let them!

Wednesday

Today we started our day with Musik at Home again. The kids just listened to it because C isn’t sure if she should participate yet. (She is like this anytime I start something new with her). After music, we went downstairs to do our school work. D colored his hen, Red and C did her school work on her own. We had a surprise this morning, we were outside doing water table and Daddy drove up! He needed something for an appointment for his car and had some time to kill so he came home and hung out. D was so excited, but kinda sad that Daddy had to leave again. After rest time, C came down and worked more on her school work. For dinner we had Sushi. We read a book about a little girl who ate sushi everyday for lunch so we ordered sushi for dinner.

Thursday

Today we started our day by going out for a walk. This was a special walk. We used the BINGO card from PBS Kids. We used it more as a scavenger hunt and I let C take pictures of everything with my phone. This was fun for C. She only took a few pictures that I couldn’t identify the item. After we got home we played out back for a long time. The kids had so much fun and were soo tired. After lunch and rest time, C did here school work. We played a new game where we matched up dots on the dominoes. She had a blast and was using her math skills. I need to come up with some addition games with dominoes because she loves them so much. Later she went to ballet class. She is loving her ballet class. She will tell me a little about it every time. This time, they danced with scarves again and did some turns, but they did not dance to the Troll song again.

Friday

We started our day by heading out to the park. C rode her bike to the park for the first time. She was so proud of herself. We played hard and then came home and did a bit of school work. We kinda took it easy today so don’t have much to report.

Saturday

We had a fun filled day of playing! We went to the park in the morning again. We are loving this cooler fall weather. We can just pick up and go to the park without having to make sure everyone has a gallon of bug spray (we live by a marshy area and have horrible mosquitos in the summer). After C’s rest time, she asked to do some school work so I pulled out some worksheets where she had to trace and color animals. It helped her practice her fine motor skills while I worked on the computer. She was super excited. My kid hasn’t figured out that most kids don’t ask for school work on weekends! After everyone woke up we just hung out and played at home.

We had a restful week mostly at home, but it was still super busy. I hope you had a great week and see y’all next week!
