This week in preschool we learned about the letter R. We focused on Roosters, Rabbits, Reading, Reptiles, and Rubber. We also learned about the number 13 and reviewed our favorite bible stories.

Roosters

We started the week by learning Roosters and singing our Alphabet Friends Song from Abeka.com. We also made our own R is for Rooster craft. Grab your template here! This printable includes the files you need to print straight to construction paper or just load into your cutting machine and let your machine cut it for you!!

Rabbits

We also talked about Rabbits. We learned how to draw our own rabbit. It was fun and interesting. C did a pretty good job drawing it too! I had fun as well! We have started doing more of these follow the direction to draw a picture projects. She loves it and I learn a lot too! I am not good at art so this is a learning process for me.

Reading

Today we had an easy day. We read books today. Here are a few of our favorite books. We also did some of our reading program. Check out my review of Reading Unlocked here.

Reptiles

We used our poster to talk about different types of reptiles. D even got involved by pointing to the different animals he saw. We learned how to write the number 13 by tracing snakes making the number.

We also made snakes with our pattern blocks. Find your copy of the snake pattern block mats from Prekinders.com. My favorite pattern blocks are the Melissa and Doug Pattern Blocks.

Rubber

Today we talked about rubber and all that it makes that we use on a daily basis. We played with a rubber ball outside as well. We discussed that we don’t wrap rubber bands or hair ties around ourselves because we could wrap it too tight and hurt ourselves.
