This week we are starting school and here is our preschool weekly review. We are going to be super busy, but it will be nice to be back on a new normal schedule. Daddy is going back to work in the office and we are going to get going every morning (well in theory)!
This year I will be posting our weekly reviews and (hopefully) a project a week. I will try my best to do this every week!
Sunday
Today started by doing church at home. We think next week we are going to try and go back to church. We are ready, we will see how it goes with D since he is so young. We then went to the neighborhood park for a bit. After we played for a while, we came home and had pizza for lunch. We then put both kids down for a nap and I did A LOT of laundry. We played after naps and had chicken enchiladas for dinner.
Monday

Today we started school for the year. We started our day by watching our Bible story on the TV. I use different Bible story videos on YouTube. Today we watched The Bible Stories for Kids Creation episode found here. After Bible stories, we had a snack and then came down to our school room to start our learning. C wanted to make a Creation book, so I cut it out on the Cricut for her and she made her cover page and day 1. you can get your own digital files here or get a kit that is mailed to you ready to go here.

C was so excited to do her worksheet from Abeka.com. D did his coloring page as well. I am so happy to get started with D this year. For the next few weeks he is learning the color, Red. He colored a sheet this morning. C also played a I game since she is learning about the letter I this week. I got this letter game from Simple Living, Creative Learning, found here. C had a blast. She not only got to play a game, but reviewed the letter I and letter sound for I. I am super excited to have this kit for her to review all the letters. We probably will play it a couple of times this week.

After school, we went outside for a while and ended up playing with our neighbor friend. Then we came in for lunch and naps. We are almost down with our chapter book, Moana: The Junior Novelization by Suzanne Francis.
After naps, I got out the water table and we set up a “pouring station.” C had a blast pouring water into different items. She kept making “lemonade.” It was a lot of fun and we played until Daddy got home and came in and had leftovers.

Tuesday

Today we started the day with an Outschool class. C took a princess class where they sang some songs, interacted with the teacher and read a story. She was shy, but had a blast. After her class, we went to her eye appointment. She did very good minus not really talking to the doctors. We went and grabbed lunch from Chick-fil-a for a special treat. I let C skip nap today and put D down for his nap. We did school and then sat her up with a movie in my room. After naps, we played inside while I cooked dinner which was Zesty Pulled Chicken and salad. I ended up fixing D and C peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner because they don’t like this chicken even though Daddy and I do!
Wednesday
Today, we had a playdate in the morning with some friends. After our friends left, we had a picnic outside and ate some chicken strips and french fries. The kids played for a bit outside. I laid D down for his nap and C rested for a bit before watching a movie in my room. We skipped school all day because we just needed a more relaxing day. D did get a promotion to a booster seat because he is getting too small for his high chair. He looks soo cute in his new seat. After naps, the kids played inside and then we had leftovers for dinner.

Thursday

Today, we got busy with school work early. We went downstairs and I got D set up with a red dyed pasta sensory bin. I will say, this sensory bin kinda scared me because I haven’t really let him do this kind yet and I had never made one like this before, but it went well. He had a blast playing while C and I did school work together. The goal is to give him something to do every day while C and I work in peace.
C reviewed Creation today by working more on her Creation Book. You can get your own copy here and do it with us next week too.

I put D down for a nap and C played her Reading Eggs game. She is loving the games so far. In a few weeks, I will have the full review of the game. After naps, we painted with homemade stamps reviewing the color red with D. We had leftovers for dinner because our fridge is over filled with food right now!
Friday
Today, we did school in the morning. C finished her first week. Next week we start the hard stuff! D made a Creation mobile to remember that God made everything. We then went outside for a little chalk fun and yard work. C and D had a blast helping me clean up all the weeds!

After cleaning up outside, we came in and had some lunch and C played some more of her Reading Eggs game (a full review will be coming later this month). We started a new book at rest time today, Dinosaurs before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. This is the first book in the Magic Treehouse Series. I am super excited to start this series with C. We then rested and played in the afternoon. Daddy brought home Chinese food for dinner, because I didn’t get dinner started in time! Opps!
Saturday
Today, we woke up and took a morning walk together as a family. It gave us all a great way to start the day! After we got back, we had breakfast and played! I went to the grocery store on my own!! I love doing that on Saturday even though I usually offer to take a child, but no one wanted to go this week. After playtime and lunch, both kids took a nap! This is great because everyone needed rest. I even took a nap! Then we got up and daddy took them outside while I started dinner. We had Skinny Hawaiian Pizza Pasta! Once I had dinner ready to bake, I went outside so daddy could mow the yard. We came inside to bake dinner and cool off! After dinner, we all went to bed early!
We have had a great week! I hope you enjoyed your week too! I don’t have a lot extra to post about our week for C, but I will be posting our red activities that D did this week in a bit!
