This week was super fun because Grandma came! We had a lot of cleaning at the beginning of the week. Once Grandma got here, it got CRAZY!! We had so much fun with Grandma.

Sunday

We went to church again this week. It has been so good to be back in worship. Next week we are going to have to skip because they are doing a special baptism Sunday at a house and keeping D away from the pool is going to be hard! The following week we start nursery again!!!! I don’t think I can put enough exclamation points on that sentence. I am super happy! Anyways, back to today! After church we came home and played for a bit. C did her Reading Eggs game so that they wouldn’t get too hyper. Then we went out to Culver’s for lunch. At lunch, I made a comment about our kids going out to eat. It is exhausting! It is crazy and kinda looks like a 3 ring circus, but guess what they can do it and they know the expectations. If we need to go out while traveling or if something ever happens at our house and we need to be gone over a meal, they can do it! It is hard work, but they know how to sit and wait for our food. They know how to be polite to the servers. They know how to clean up after themselves. They can do it even as toddlers and preschoolers. Wow that was a random rant!

After lunch, we came back and had rest/nap time. Daddy tried to fix our sprinkler system again (with C’s help of course), but it looks as though we have to call someone to come look at it. After naps and rest time, we played for a bit and had dinner (as I am typing the end of this later in the week, I forgot what we had for dinner for any days this week….crazy week).

Monday

Today started by loading the kids up and head out of town with a friend. We drove to a neighboring town and let the kids play on the splash pad. The kids had a blast. C just laughed anytime the big bucket dropped. She was super excited. They were so busy and the boys kept getting into trouble that I got no pictures! Opps. We came home and had lunch and did rest/nap time. I am getting better at rest time and not getting frustrated if C doesn’t sleep. After snacks, we headed downstairs and did some school work. C needs to work on her rhyming skills so we played a rhyming game. She did so well.

After the game, she did some rhyming worksheets and actually did really well on them. D also got to play a new game where he made popsicles out of felt and popsicle sticks. He was supposed to match the colors, but he really just played. It was great! He is learning so much at this age and I love watching him try and figure it out. His color games are from My Full Heart Shop on Etsy. This is a great shop to order from! After D played for a bit, C had to join in too!

Tuesday

Today was cleaning and organizing day! My mom is coming in tomorrow so we spent the day finishing making everything organized in the house. After rest time we pulled out the pool for the kids until Daddy got home. They had a blast. C even ate dinner in her swim suit.

Wednesday

Today is the day Grandma came!! We drove to the airport in the morning to get her! After we picked her up, we went out to lunch and shopping! We love it when Grandma comes because we go shopping. As we were driving back home, we stopped at a few Nebraska Passport places to grab our stamp. The kids did great and were so excited to see Grandma. We got home from our adventure to get Grandma right before dinner.

Thursday

Today, we stayed home and played with Grandma. We just kinda messed around at home in the morning and then went to the grocery store to get our Grandma essentials. During rest time, Grandma and C watched Tarzan. We choose to have kinda of a lazy day today because tomorrow we are going on a small trip!

Friday

Today we went on our long Nebraska Passport trip! We started by hitting up two closed locations just to grab our stamps. After those we went to One of the Largest Porch Swings in America. Because we had sort of a late start, we went and grabbed some pizza and had a picnic at the park!

After the porch swing we went to the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Museum. This was super cool. We got to look around an old Mennonite community. C loved it! She did really good not to touch things and kept tell us “come look at this.” She loved their desks they used to sit at during school. She also loved the church.

After we left the “outside museum” as C called it all day, we went to grab one more stamp on the way home. We got home about 7 hours later! It was a crazy fun filled day!

Saturday

Today we went out to a park to meet one of my mom’s friends. The kids played while my mom caught up with her friend (at a socially acceptable distance). After we left the park, we grabbed lunch and came home. My mom and I walked around the neighborhood and grabbed a few goodies from the neighborhood garage sale that was happening this weekend. Then C and Grandma set down and worked on a Frozen Lego set. This is C’s first real lego set. We are going to just hang out this evening and rest. Tomorrow we have church at home because our church is having a special baptism service but it is at someone’s home and I don’t think my kids could handle it being there. Monday Grandma goes back home and we get back to school!
