Unit Seven of Teaching the Bible (a 12-month complete Bible curriculum with hands-on lessons for toddlers and preschoolers) teaches toddlers and preschool children all about some of Jesus’ miracles and his friends. By the end, your preschoolers and toddlers will know that We can Praise God.
Lessons Overview
There are 3 hands-on Bible lessons for preschoolers or toddlers in this unit on Jesus’ Miracles and Jesus’s friends: Jesus Heals the Paralyzed Man, Jesus Heals Jairus’s Daughter, and Mary and Martha. Each lesson has 6 hands-on activities for little ones based on the length of days the lesson should cover. There is one memory verse for little ones to learn during this unit. This memory verse has motions and a poster to help memorize the verses.

Lesson 1: Jesus Heals the Paralyzed Man
The first Bible lesson in this unit is on Jesus Healing the Paralyzed Man and should last about a week depending on the activities you choose for your toddler or preschool child. The goal of this lesson is for your little one to know that We can Praise God! Your little one will start to work on this memory verse:
“Shout for joy to the Lord, everyone on earth.”

One of my favorite activities for this lesson is the egg drop. This activity is a great STEM activity that forces children to think outside the box. Your child creates a way for an egg to be lowered to the ground. A younger child will need some help and guidance, but an older child would love to do this on their own. You might even add some fun by adding in dropping the egg from a high point like from standing on top of a ladder (adult standing on a ladder). Lesson 2: Jesus Heal Jairus’s Daughter
The second Bible lesson in this unit is on Jesus Healing Jairus’s Daughter and should last about a week depending on the activities you choose for your toddler or preschool child. Your child will learn about Jairus coming to see Jesus and Jesus healing his daughter back at home. The goal of this lesson is for your little one to know that We can Praise God! Your little one will continue to work on the memory verse.
My favorite activity from this lesson is Ignore the World. This lesson is because Jesus told Jairus that his daughter wasn’t dead, but was just sleeping and Jairus ignored what the world was saying and focused on what Jesus was saying. In this activity, your children will set up an obstacle course. They will either close their eyes or wear a blindfold. You can direct them through the obstacle course while having music or someone else trying to distract them. This is a great object lesson to help your child focus on listening to God. We can have a lot of noises coming at us throughout our lives and we need to focus on Jesus. Click here to go back to the top.
Lesson 3: Mary and Martha
The third Bible lesson in this unit is on Mary and Martha and should last about a week depending on the activities you choose for your toddler or preschool child. Your child will learn about how each woman was praising Jesus in their own way. The goal of this lesson is for your little one to know that We can Praise God! Your little one will continue to work on the memory verse.
My favorite activity in this lesson is called Prepare a Meal. This is super fun because you can make this real or pretend. You can have your child help you prepare real food and create a real party which can lead to other subjects for your homeschooling day. OR you can set up a pretend party and play pretend with your kids! Either way, your child can get the full experience. It is very flexible. Click here to go back to the top.
