Unit six of Teaching the Bible (a 12 month complete Bible curriculum with hands-on activities for toddlers and preschoolers) teaches toddlers and preschool children all about Jesus’ Ministry with the stories of Jesus is Baptized, Jesus Calls His Disciples, Jesus Calms the Storm, Jesus Walks on Water, and Jesus Heals the Blind Man. By the end, your preschoolers and toddlers will know that We can have Faith.
Lessons Overview
There are 5 lessons with hands-on activities for preschoolers or toddlers in this Jesus’ Ministry unit: Jesus is Baptized, Jesus Calls His Disciples, Jesus Calms the Storm, Jesus Walks on Water, and Jesus Heals the Blind Man. Each lesson has 6 hands-on activities for little ones based on the length of days the lesson should cover. There are also two memory verses for little ones to learn during the unit. Each memory verse has motions and a poster to help in memorizing the verses.

Lesson 1: Jesus is Baptized
This first Bible lesson in the Jesus’ Ministry Unit is on Jesus being Baptized should last about a week depending on the activities you choose for your toddler or preschool child. The goal of this lesson is for your little one to know that We can Have Faith. This lesson focuses on the act of Jesus being Baptized, you can add your own beliefs of baptism into the lesson. Your little one will also memorize this verse:
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.”

One of my favorite preschool or toddler activities from this lesson is painting with water. This is super easy to setup and requires only a paintbrush and a bowl. Lesson 2: Jesus Calls His Disciples
This is the second lesson in the unit and is about Jesus calling his disciples. The goal is for your child to know that We can Have Faith. Your little one will continue to work on the same memory verse as the first lesson.
One of my favorite activities from this lesson is the Disciple hunt. It is a super easy sensory bin to setup and your child will learn all the names of the disciples. You can click below to buy lesson 2 only.
Lesson 3: Jesus Calms the Storm
This is the third lesson in the unit and is about Jesus calming the storm. The goal is for your child to know that We can Have Faith. Your little one will continue to work on the memory verse from lesson 1 and 2.
One of my favorite activities from this lesson is rain in a jar or cup. This is a great science experiment for littles because it can be done over and over again. My kids love to see how quickly we can turn the water black! You can click below to buy lesson 3 only.
Lesson 4: Jesus Walks on Water
This is the fourth lesson in the unit and is about Jesus and Peter walking on water. The goal is for your child to know that We can Have Faith. Your little one will learn a new memory verse.

One of my favorite activities from this lesson is the Boat Snack. This activity is great because who doesn’t love a snack as an activity. It is a great way to just have a conversation with your child about the story and what they learned. You can click below to buy lesson 4 only.
Lesson 5: Jesus Heals the Blind Man
This is the fifth Bible lesson, which should last a week for your toddler or preschool child, in the Jesus’ Ministry unit and is about Jesus healing the blind man. The goal is for your child to know that We can Have Faith. Your little one will continue to work on the same memory verse as the fourth lesson.
One of my favorite activities from this lesson is the Mud Playdough Sensory Bin. This activity is great because it is a great way to teach your little one about mud and how Jesus used it to heal the blind man.
