The Good Samaritan is a story that many preschoolers and toddlers love to hear, here is a great preschool activity to help you little one remember the concepts from the story.

This is a great parable for a little child to learn because they have no concept of being different. We can start from an early age teaching them to be helpful and caring towards all people. Teaching children that we don’t have to be like those that walked away from the hurting man. Helping others could be providing physical items such as a bandaid or food or it could just be a hug.

Supplies Needed:

• Good Samaritan Craft Worksheet (found here)
• Crayons or markers
• Cotton Balls
• Glue

Good Samaritan Craft Directions:

First, color all the bandaids using the colors written on them and to help younger children who cannot read yet, the words are written in their specific color.

Then, add a cotton ball to the middle of each bandaid for extra fun!

Not too difficult and definitely fun!

Learning Extensions

Here are some great ways to extend your child’s learning with this project:

• Have your child do one color at a time and repeat the color each time
• Have your child practice fine motor skills by finger painting the band-aids
• Have your child practice fine motor skills by pulling apart the cotton balls
• Have your older child read the different colors to the younger children
• Have your child practice fine motor skills of only doing one small glue dot
• Have your older child find the story in the Bible and read it to you
• Have your child act out the story with their dolls or any figurines
• Have your older child create a script to act out the story
• Have your older child copy part of the story onto another paper.
