Today we learned about X is for Fox. We only had one day for X so we packed a lot in. First off, this is the only letter that we did not start our animal friend with the letter. This is because X usually makes the /ks/ sound as in fox. This was a bit different, but C remembers this from last year so it wasn’t so hard.
F is for Fox
So we first talked about our fox. We learned how to write the letter X and traced them on the board. C also wrote them on her own on her worksheet.
We also made our X is for Fox craft. Grab yours below or grab the whole alphabet below.

We also did a letter hunt found at Fun Early Learning. C loves to do letter hunts, so this was a great way to have her practice the letter X as well as have fun. She used our paint doters to find all the Xs.

Xylophone
We talked about the fact that X also can just say its name. So we made our own xylophone out of water cups and water. This idea came from The Measured Momma. C had a blast. She kept coming back and playing more. She sang her own songs to the “music” she wrote.

X-ray
We also learned about X-rays. We did a fun craft found at Homeschool Creations. I sprayed C’s had with paint and water. Once it dried, she glued her “bones” aka qtips onto the picture.
