This week we learned about the letter Q! We focused on quails, quarter, quickly, quiet, and quilt!
Q is for Quail
We started our week by reviewing all the letters we have learned (we are almost done) and then learning about the letter Q. We talked that it looks like a O but has a tail so it doesn’t roll away. We made our own Q is for quail craft (get yours here).
Quarter
C loves coins so today we looked at a real quarter and talked about all the different features. We looked at how big it was compared to other coins and we talked about how much it was worth. We also played with our Coffee Shop (grab your pack here) and practiced using our quarters. We will touch more on this next year as she doesn’t understand that it is money and has a value yet.
Quickly/Quiet
We did quickly and quiet together as they were both hands on lessons. We played a game where she had to quickly and quietly find all the letters in the room. She had fun and would tip toe and run around the room looking for all the letters. We practice being quiet everyday!
Quilt
We learned about quilts today! This was a fun day because we got to FaceTime with Grandma and look at all her quilts. Grandma loves to quilt so she showed us all different types of quilts. We also made our own quilt. C loved picking out the fabric and putting it on the quilt. Find your own quilt worksheet at Swoodson Says.
