P is for Penguin
We started our week by learning about penguins. We sang our alphabet song and traced the letter P. We also made our P is for Penguin craft. Grab your temples here!

Peanuts

We identified letters as we fed a paper elephant peanuts! Each peanut had a letter written on it. We also learned about George Washington Carver, who invited peanut butter! We talked about all the good things we have because of peanuts and peanut butter! We celebrated by having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch (C’s favorite)! We also counted peanuts on worksheets and talked about how they grow underground.
Panda

We talked about panda bears! These are my favorite animals so I had fun exploring them with C. We started by looking at the Panda Cams at the National Zoo. We have visited this zoo before so I also pulled up pictures of us when C was much younger. We also made our own Panda puzzle. I printed a picture of a Panda and cut it apart. C then put it together to make the picture. D was helping too!
Pairs
Today we focused on pairs. We worked on finding pairs around the house. We also did our worksheet where C had to match the different pairs. She did great with this and is ready for more complex matching. We also played a matching game where we found pairs.
Police Officer
we talked about Police Officers. We discussed how they are here to protect and help us. We made a paper plate police car. You can find the directions here at Glued to my Crafts. We modified the craft a bit because painting is way more fun then tissue paper for C.
