Spotlight: African Activities
This week we learned about Africa. It was a new experience because we normally focus on crafts with our special language development, but with Africa we focused on different activities.
Letter J Week
This week we learned the letter J. We are quickly moving through the alphabet. We talked about the number 7 as well as Japan, jellyfish, jellybeans, and jungles. We also watched two bible stories this week: Jairus’s Daughter and Feeding the Five Thousand.
I is for Inchworm Week
This week we learned about the letter I. We focused on insects, Indians, and Isreal as well as counting to 10 and learning how to write the number 7. We also watched the Bible stories of Jesus healing the blind man by the pool as well as Jesus stills the Storm.
Farm Review Week
This week we were reviewing everything we have learned so far this year and we used a Farm theme. It was a lot of fun and here are some of the highlights.
H is for Horse week
This week we learned about H is for Homer Horse. We learned the number 6 and focused on our Healthy Bodies, Houses, and Humming Birds.
G is for Goat week
This week we learned the letter G! We are slowly making our way through the alphabet. We focused on learning about animals Going, Gardens, Groceries, and Games. We also worked on counting and writing numbers up to 5.
G is for Games
This past week we focused on the letter G. One of our days (which turned into a few days) was about Games. C loves games! She already has a huge cabinet full of games. We have played almost all of our games these last few days. Here are her favorite games:
A is for Alligator Week
This week we learned the letter A. We follow the Abeka 3s curriculum so we learned about Alexander Alligator. We also focused on counting 1-5 and number recognition of 1 and 2. We watched the Bible story of Abraham.
Spotlight: Canada Activities
This week we learned about Canada. We were talking about the letter C and one of our language development spotlights was on Canada.
Recycle Car Wash Project
This week we talked about cars so we created our own car wash out of recycled materials. We used a few pictures online to figure out how we wanted to make our car wash.
