This week in preschool we learned the letter G! We focused on learning about animals going, gardens, goats, groceries, and games.
G is for Goat
On Monday, we learned about goats. C was able to trace the upper and lower case letters on our chalkboard. This week I also set up some activities related to G in her tablet. I added the activities to her ABCMouse home screen. This was super easy and very helpful. I am going to try and do this every week to provide a little extra practice when needed.

We also made a G is for Goat craft. C loved putting on all the different parts, and yes the feet are on upside down! Grab your template here!

Going Places
On Tuesday, we talked about animals Going places. We talked about how each animal moves. We played a game where we moved like animals. Her favorite was standing on one leg like a flamingo. She will still do it throughout the day. I found the cards at Little Love Learning.

Garden

On Wednesday, we talked about a Garden. We made our own garden sensory bin. I found some dirt and added some floral marbles as well as fake flowers and some gardening tools. C wanted some cups and spoons as well and ended up just scooping and pouring the dirt!
Grocery Store
On Thursday, we talked about Grocery. This happened to fall on our grocery day. Now I will admit, I usually just do grocery pick up because well going through a grocery store with two littles is not fun, but this week I gave her a list and we hit the store. She had a blast. We continued this learning into making our own grocery store which you can get the signs that we used here on my post about our dramatic play grocery store. I even made her an apron (not a traditional clerk color, but still) that she could dress up as a clerk at the grocery store. We continued our learning about this by going to our local children’s museum and playing in their grocery store.

Games
Friday, we talked about Games. This is one of C’s favorite thing to do. We played Monopoly Jr for the first time and had a blast. Click here to read my post about the Top 5 Games for Preschoolers.
