Here is our weekly homeschool review for the first week in March, can you believe I said March?? This week we did school everyday and tried to get outside as much as possible.

Monday

A little girl is sitting on a couch, taping a bee onto a beehive that is hanging on the wall.

Today we started school early because C wanted to do school work as soon as breakfast was over. So we headed downstairs and played a bee game. She had to read the words on the bees and then tape them on the beehive! She had a blast and read all of the words (mostly with little help from me). We also played our coin game again as we are finishing up money this week. We went outside to get some fresh air because it was soo nice out.

Tuesday

A little girl is wearing a helmet and jumping on numbers outside. She is staying on the number 10 and looking for the next number as she counts by 5s.

Today we went outside first thing in the morning! We practiced our skip counting (leading up to counting nickels this week) by jumping on the numbers as we counted by 5s. We then came inside and did more skip counting practice with some worksheets from Super Teacher Worksheets (check out my review of Super Teacher Worksheets here). This afternoon we went back outside because D had a horrible nap and fresh air was needed.

Wednesday

A toddler boy is digging in a sand and dirt mixture at a park.

Today we were supposed to go out with some friends, but they had to cancel due to sickness. So to salvage the day, we headed out and grabbed some food from Chick-fil-a and went to have a picnic at the park! The kids played for a long time and had a blast. C made new friends with different kids that were also at the park. D mainly played in the sand/dirt by the swings.

Thursday

A little girl is sitting at a desk writing on a worksheet. She had counted the coins and is writing the cents down on the worksheet. She had already completed some questions on the worksheet and wrote how much money was seen and glued different items down that she could "buy" with the much money. There is a glue bottle sitting next to her.

Today we did school early this morning again. We counted different coins and figured out much money we had using Task cards from Super Teacher Worksheets. After C seemed to really get the concept of counting money, we moved onto our math curriculum where she had to count the coins as well as find an item for “sale” that matched that number. She loved this activity. We also did our Math test today and she aced it!

Friday

Today we had a chill day at home. We did a little bit of school work and then played outside. The highlight of our day was making homemade pizzas for dinner. Both the kids made their own pizzas and then we cooked them in our air fryer. They were too good.

A toddler boy is sitting at a dinning room table putting toppings on mini pizzas. He has his water cup in front of him and he is placing sausage on the pizzas on a plate on the table.
