The past few weeks we have been reading some new books during our reading time by Carole P. Roman. We received four books from Carole P. Roman’s assorted series and have enjoyed each and every one of them.

A Flag for the Flying Dragon

This book is volume 9 of the A Captain No Beard Story series. This was one of C’s favorite books. She requested that her Daddy read it to her many nights. I love that the moral of the story is the we all have special jobs even if it takes a little bit to figure out what the job is for everyone. We all need each other to have smooth sailing on the waters!

Can A Princess by a Firefighter?

This is by far my favorite book we received. C is our princess and we are always on the lookout for princess books. In this book, the girl tries out many different “jobs” but the end is my favorite part:

"So my, dear, whatever you pick,
whatever you choose to be, 
know that in my true heart,
you will always be
a princess to me."

C will always be our princess no matter what! I love that C wants to read this book over and over again!

Rockeyt-Bye

C is into space right now so I thought this book would be great as a bedtime story. She loves exploring all the different planets and constellations in this book. It is a very well thought out and illustrated book. It has a good mix of fact and imagination that is needed for a read aloud right before bed.

I Want to Do Yoga Too

This was a fun book to read and get a little bit of movement in during our day. The little girl goes through a lot of different yoga poises in a way that young kids can understand. C loves to do the movements with me as I read this book.

We are very thankful to have four new books added to our household library. We have enjoyed each of them in different ways. I can’t wait to read more by Carole P. Roman.
