The Teaching the Bible: Creation Lesson is a great children’s bible lesson on Creation for families or teachers of little ones. As a homeschool material, it can last a week or two depending on how many days of Creation you want to include into your homeschool week. Or it can last a month to two months in a Sunday school classroom by doing one or two days of Creation each week. The goal for this lesson is that the little ones would know that they are special because God created them to be special!

Children will memorize the verse:

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.”

These lessons also include the directions for the Creation Book from Teaching with Faith to reinforce the lesson. Each “day” of Creation also has two additional activities to go along with the book. There is a Review Day (or week for Sunday School) at the end of the lesson to either celebrate Creation or as review as you progress through this children’s bible lesson on Creation.

One of my favorite activities is from Day 4 of Creation where the children will create their own moon craters. This is a simple activity to set up, as it is is only flour and rocks! Because it involves making a mess, my daughter loved it!

There is a little girl sitting on a table clothe laid out on the floor. She has her hand in a pan of flour making moon craters with rocks.

Another great activity is making a bird feeder. This is a very adaptable activity based on supplies you already have at your house and age of the child. Older children might like the challenge of a pine cone, while younger children will enjoy using a toilet paper roll.

Check out some of my favorite Bibles for little ones:

A spiral notebook sits angled at the corner with a white background and a black and white boarder around the inside edge. The title of the notebook: "Teaching the Bible: Unit 1," with a subtitle of "Lesson 1: God Created the World." Under the title is a bible with a cross on the front cover. Under the Bible is the Teaching with Faith logo with a crown.
