I know that Christmas is coming very quickly and we all need need some great ideas toys and activities for our young babies under a year. Here are some of my favorite ones.

Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker

This walker is so great because it has a toy that can be used before the baby is even standing. The front comes off and can be laid flat on the floor. There are tons of buttons and moveable parts on the front. I have taken it off before and sat it in front of my baby and even propped it up on something so he is sitting and it is sitting. This gives him something to play within front of him. Also there are locks on the walker so you can make a stationary toy for early standers. Then one day while standing my son just took off! I am for sure not saying this will teach your baby to walk, but it is a great incentive. My older kids also love to race it around the living room!!!

Melissa & Doug Pull Back Vehicle Set

We got these pull back cars for a present when my son was about 6 moths old. He loved them (and so did my older son). They are super easy to make go and can go on almost any floor. I know there are other baby cars that are hard to make go on carpet or are too hard for the baby to make go, but these are not that! They are super fun. My son still plays with them!

Battat-Mini Vending Machine toy

This toy is one of our all time favorites! My son loves trying to figure out how to get the balls into the top. He also has to figure out how to get them out of the machine by pulling the lever. My older kids love playing with him and counting the balls as they go in. They try and figure out how to get them all in and out in order.

Baby Einstein 4-in-1 Kickin’ Tunes Play Mat

I have had other play mats with my older children. I love play mats because it provides a clean space for them to lay and just play while I am tending to other things. I really wanted this one with my last child. I love the piano part. I thought he would have a blast making it go. Well he did (and so did my other two kids) and now we use the piano as a separate toy in his play pen.

Maple Toys 6-in-1 Mutli-Sensory Plush Toy

I love this toy because it was easy to carry with us everywhere. My son loves the way it feels and sounds. He loves to chew on it! It pretty much stayed in his carseat and we used it on the go! It also wasn’t too hard to keep up with in public because it was big, but not too big!

Duck and Friends: A Soft and Fuzzy Book

I love this book because it is a safe book to give to babies and it makes noise. My youngest was not allowed to have regular board books without supervision because all he wanted to do was eat them! So we used these cloth books that also make tons of noise for him. He loves them! He wanted to make it make all the noise he could.
