This week we learned about E is for Elephant. We learned how to write our big E’s and little e’s. C is doing great with tracing her letters. Pretty soon she will be writing on her own.

E is for Elephant
We also made our own elephant finger puppet from Abeka.com. We did not have grey paint so we discussed how to mix white and black paint to make grey. She did a great job helping me mix the colors and then she painted Ellie with a paint brush. We also created our own E is for Elephant craft. Check it out here!
England
Our first concept we learned was about England. You can read about our England day here! She had a blast learning about England and still asks when we are going to see Big Ben.
Eskimos
We also learned about Eskimos. This was very fitting as it has been very cold and snowy in our area the last few weeks. We watched a video on Dog sledding found here. She loved this because of the dogs. She really wants a new dog, but that won’t be happening for awhile! We also made our own snow picture. She used chalk to drawn on black paper. She thought this was very cool and it was very simple. If I want to keep this for a while, I will need to hair spray it, but I don’t really need to right now.

Eggs and Thomas Edison
We also talked about eggs and Thomas Edison. We watched a Story Bot video on inventors that included Thomas Edison. She really enjoyed the video. It was nice because I was able to play it for her at co-op on Friday while I was feeding her brother so that she still got some school done that day. We also took our last few worksheets to co-op so that we could finish school for the week.
