This week we learned about the letter V is for Vulture, vegetables, and veterinarians.

V is for Vulture

We learned about Vicky Vulture. One fun thing we learned about vultures is that they hatched from an egg and that her mommy and daddy feed her her melas all day long. This is very similar to some baby birds we have been watching at our house. So C was able to make the connection that birds hatch from eggs. We also made our own V is for Vulture craft. We traced the big and little letter Vs on the chalkboard. She does a great job tracing and is writing the letters on her own now!

Vegetables

Today, we not only talked about vegetables, but we took a video tour of Grandpa’s garden. C knows what a vegetable garden is because both sets of her grandparents have a garden that she has been inside. So today, we talked about different vegetables and discussed how they were the same and how they were different. We then FaceTimed Grandpa and had him show us around his garden. He was too excited and C loved seeing at the different vegetables as they were growing.

Veterinarian

Today we focused on learning about veterinarians. We took out our stuffed animals and pretended to take care of them. We have done this before (read about it here) so I just pulled everything out and let her play on her own. We are working on playing on her own and not getting upset with D if he comes up to play too. So I let her practice that now. We also talked about the veterinarians that helped our dog, Jillian when she was hurt (read about that here).
