This week we learned about monkeys and the letter M. We focused on language development while learning about Mexico, manners, magnets, and mice. We also did our Bible story of Jesus Loves the Little Children. We also focused on the number 10. Check out our M week from last year!
M is for Monkey
We started this week by learning about monkeys. We traced the letter M, both big and little, on the chalk board. C was very proud of her M. We also made our own M is for Monkey craft. Grab your template here!

Mexico
We learned about Mexico. We learned that Mexico is a country that is located south of the United States. We talked about ponchos and sombreros and how to wear them. We also had quesadillas for lunch because we love Tex-Mex food in our house. We also learned about siestas and practiced during nap time! We practiced our number 10 by adding tissue paper to the candy from the piñata on our worksheet.

Manners
We learned about manners as well this week. We practiced saying “please” and “thank you.” We continued this conversation as we ate lunch and talked about table manners. This is a great subject to keep going back to for all ages.
Magnets
This was one of our favorite days. We talked about magnets. We built with our magnet tiles. C loves magnet tiles. She will build for hours so we did! We just build all different types of buildings and as tall or as short as we could. One of C’s favorite things to build is a rainbow.
Mice
We talked about mice as well! We read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff and did some of our activities from our Storybook Learning activities. We talked about why mice are important and that God made mice for a reason. We talked about the fact that mice are always busy. We had cheese for lunch in honor of all the mice out there. We also played Mouse Trap. Check out our top 5 games for preschoolers!

Bible Stories
We read the Bible story: Jesus Loves the Little Children. We learned that even as a child, Jesus loves us and that we are the Kingdom of Heaven. C loves reading her Bible stories from The Easter Storybook, check out our review here!
